Rider’lar board’larının üzerinde, rüzgârı ve startı bekliyor. Kimi kameraya gülümsüyor, kimi arkadaşlarıyla birkaç kelime konuşuyor, kimi ise çoktan kendi dünyasına çekilmiş ve tamamen yarışa odaklanmış.
Dışarıdan bakınca her şey sakin.
Ama herkes biliyor ki rüzgâr geldiği anda bu sessizlik bitecek. Konsantrasyon, adrenalin ve hız bir anda devreye girecek.
Starttan önceki o birkaç dakika gerçekten başka.
Su sakin. Rider’lar hazır. Şimdi sadece rüzgârı bekliyoruz.

The calm before the storm.
The riders are sitting on their boards, waiting for the wind and the start. Some smile at the camera, some share a few words with their friends, while others are already completely focused on the race ahead.
From the outside, everything looks calm.
But everyone knows that the moment the wind arrives, the silence is over. Focus, adrenaline and speed take over.
Those few minutes before the start just feel different.
The water is calm. The riders are ready. Now we wait for the wind.
